Wedlake Bell's fantastic IT Team are recruiting for a new IT Information Security Analyst role. This is a full-time, 6-month fixed-term contract.
The IT team is a dedicated group of IT professionals ranging from first-line support through to our critical infrastructure, training, and information security specialists. The IT Information Security Analyst will provide support to the Information Security Manager, and will play a key role in maintaining and developing our critical cybersecurity infrastructure, reporting, and compliance. On a day-to-day basis, you will assist in running a wide spectrum of IT infosec operations, from monitoring incidents and managing vulnerabilities, conducting due diligence on our suppliers and other 3rd parties, through to supporting the development and implementation of our ISO 27001 information security management system.
We are seeking someone with established technical expertise in an infosec / cyber security role (ideally at least two years) with a strong understanding of the latest developments and the ambition to support the firm's development in an increasingly complex area of IT.

Key Responsibilities:
Information Security Operations
- Support the running of daily security operations, including threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management;
- Oversee the use of security tools such as Mimecast, Microsoft 365 for DLP, DarkInvader, and Senseon for threat intelligence and network monitoring;
- Support investigations of infosec incidents (phishing attempts, data breaches, etc), help coordinate the Firm's response;
- Maintain the Firm's incident log, ensuring all incidents are flagged and resolved in a timely manner;
- Promote infosec awareness across the Firm by delivering training and phishing campaigns, and providing updates on best practices; and
- Support the Information Security Manager in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of the Firm's infosec approach.
Information Security Compliance
- Support the development, review, and enforcement of infosec policies and procedures;
- Support in maintaining our ISO 27001 certification;
- Support in maintaining our Cyber Essentials certification;
- Participate in internal and external infosec audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation and evidence are available and compliant;
- Conduct due diligence on 3rd-party suppliers and liaise with our external security providers; and
- Respond to client requests for information from clients or other stakeholders on the Firm's security policies and practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience (at least two years) of having worked in an IT infosec / cyber security capacity, ideally within the legal field or similar professional services environment;
- Ideally strong technical awareness in IT information / cyber security and a passion for development of the space;
- Ideally expertise with the following systems and applications (or use of similar IT/security tools): Mimecast, Microsoft 365 for DLP, DarkInvader, and EDS;
- Relevant technical certifications or qualifications would be advantageous;
- A strong analytical ability, with excellent problem-solving skills; and
- Excellent communications skills, with the ability to confidently interact with staff at all levels.
