Our Accounts & Finance team play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our firm by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and regulatory standards.
In this role as an Accounts Assistant, you will support the team in our Accounts Payable and Legal Cashiering functions, working to ensure we are adhering to the firm's processes and procedures to the highest standards.
We are looking for someone with a passion for Accounts & Finance, with strong attention to detail and are keen to develop in a friendly, fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Assisting with the preparation of staff expenses claims (Chrome River);
- Processing supplier purchase invoices and inputting them on the system (3E), ensuring they match the purchase order (where applicable);
- Communicate with suppliers to discus payments and resolve any queries;
- Support the payment run process in accordance with accounts procedures;
- Assist with completing the month-end process;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on accounts queries or issues; and
- Other ad-hoc duties as needed.
Legal Cashiering
- Ensure client account balances and transactions are maintained in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR);
- Prepare client's fee ledgers;
- Manage the posting of disbursements, including counsel and expert fees, or other associated fees;
- Inputting receipts from a client account;
- Log any breaches and ensure that accounts protocols are adhered to;
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at streamlining the cashiering processes; and
- Other ad-hoc cashiering duties as needed.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant role in a professional services environment, ideally with legal cashiering experience (though not a requirement to apply);
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Have a positive attitude and be proactive; and
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of all information is maintained.
